– We are all just nexus points in the web of life. Here I am with home and family for Thanksgiving 2017.
I have lived in Redding continuously since 1974. My family lives here. I have 2 adult daughters, one of whom I work for, helping people buy and sell real estate. My wife is a retired educator, having taught local generations for more than 30 years. I had a career at Kodak for more than 20 years, before becoming a Realtor in 2004. Now with The Address Realty, I am proud of the brokerage that Erin and I have created. Proud of our adherence to the highest ethical standards, and our strong commitment to giving back to the community.
Redding is a small town at heart, where your word and reputation define you. I am active in my community. Friends of the Library, KIXE member, Chamber of Commerce, YMCA, Shasta Historical Society, Turtle Bay Museum. I was named 2008 Agent of the Year for Coldwell Banker C&C Properties. Over the years, I have served on the Shasta Association of REALTORS Grievance Committee, Green Committee, Communication Committee, MLS Committee, and Professional Standards Panels. In 2010, I was elected to a 3 year term as a Director of the Shasta Association of Realtors.
A while back, I got a big hug from a woman who I helped buy her first house. That was pretty gratifying, so I like think about that moment. It’s a good feeling. Being a good REALTOR is all about solving problems and helping people achieve their goals. Skip Murphy
